The All Saints Audition...

Considering I bowled through Portobello market today, running late for my interview, the most I could do was wipe sweat from my upper lip let alone collect nerves, and form an impressive aura around my somewhat not facade.
However, with positive intentions I am already looking at a future uniform. Fingers crossed I shall prosper.
Here are my favs from their new season...

Life Gets Beautiful Backstage.

LFW SS12  @ House Of Holland

Pastel Punk model for HoH.

Take the film This Is England and pour the contents into a Kenwood tri-blade 800W blender. Sieve in 1/2 cup of fashion and 1/3 beauty and there we have Henry Holland's 'Pastel Punk' SS12 theme. With lashings of Vanilla sugar this show was more glam than glum, a pretty look with a tough outer edge!

To ease the blend between punk and glitzy fashion show, models donned slight base tans (St Tropez on tap) to illuminate the skin as they strutted down the runway, obscuring the boundaries of goth/punk/glamour. Dewy skin, that perfected after party, slightly sweaty face included the necessary black eyeliner that lent it toughness. A peachy complexion is one to juxtapose a harder punky attire.

    Christina Sabaiduc LFW.

Sunday 18th September @ The Hospital Club 23 Endell Street.

The elegant and the elongated at Sabaiduc's LFW show exhibited the warming colours of a rich orange sheen, overlaying multiple seas of greens that replicate plantation. With little pattern to play with the vibrant pigments stand alone, almost daringly. Amusingly belittled in comparison to the strength of colour, each model (the typically thin and towering) shared uncanny resemblance to her almost clone standing to both the left and right . Dewy faced and of a pale complexion, skin tone was used to accentuate the spicy tints of material.

As varied garments hung against the backdrop in a loose and uninspiring placement. Little was given away about the bulk of possible clothing within the collection. As models were seemingly sparse in their leotard-clad numbers, the amount of wearable apparel was perplexing.

As the show took shape, I was led to believe I was standing amongst an intimate circle within a styling workshop. As unidentifiable fabrics were promoted from backdrop scenery to ensemble, the collection was born.

    Cristina Sabaiduc.

This coming sunday's showcase of Cristina Sabaiduc's latest and greatest has me and another planted firmly on its guestlist. An indication of what must be the materialization of London's Fashion Week itself as the resplendence of Covent Garden's The Hospital Club is the quintessential host to Sabaiduc's collections Magnetic Forces and Romandin. In one style, with one understructure, Romandin distorts conventional lines, merging infinite possibilities that challenge the eye.

As a London based designer, her collections are always produced in the UK, consistently depicting the adventurous, intractable and quirky. An unhindered drive to explore the unknown exists in the use of unfamiliar objects that detract from places and experiences.
She is Romanian-born and an avid traveler, therefore her design aesthetic marries global textile traditions with experimentation of unconventional materials, pushing boundaries and offering the fashion world a fresh perspective.
Romandin, is her first creative venture that flourished in April 2009 at Toronto Alternative Arts and Fashion Week w embraced by the media and won “...the week’s prize for innovation”, according to NOW Magazine. During her studies, Sabaiduc’s efforts have been recognized and applauded with The LancĂ´me Scholarship of Excellence in Women’s Luxury Design and top industry recognition during her graduating show.
Now living and working in London, Cristina Sabaiduc is developing her emerging brand, CRISTINA SABAIDUC, as well as taking part in collaborative projects. Through the combination of art, luxury and impeccable design techniques, she aims to inspire and encourage its wearers to be fearless.

I very much advise a few peeks at her site and blog... http://www.cristinasabaiduc.com/

To The New For The Tomorrow.

As New York fashion week is soon to find closure and Milan is mid-preparation, it looks like London has this hectic fashion agenda hot on it's heels sooner than soon. Therefore, it would only be a universal norm for fashion blogger's eyes to be fixed on screen and fingers unceasing in their a flurry of reportage as the severe show schedule leaves little time for a blogger to leak their critique. The brisk turnaround of model, collection and designer is not for the literary wayfarer.
I believe this leaves little and no room for another show and tell straight from the walks in New York, I wish from here on to promote, to beat the drum, to plug and all that follow the recently graduated and crisp contenders to the fashion scene, who may too showcase on the main stage.

    The fresh and the first.

From within the confines of my new arctic flat, colour-less, carpet-less and the replicate of a picnic cooler I finally gain access to a long neglected blog.
Even now I am all too aware of the pressure to post in haste, to disclose all that swims against the innards of my head. An elusive internet connection is pressing, possibly more demanding than deadline in print.

Regardless, I commence the turn of a new tide; jobless but seeking, and penniless but hoarding as I embark on a new year within London town. Within this year I hope to mark the radically distinctive progression towards success, i.e. land myself a job without firstly falling victim to worthlessness and consequently to the grips of manic depression.
I am meticulous and hardworking, I am the perfect model to showcase your brand... hire me. Hire Me!
To what only depletes my optimistic and usually unfaltering demeanor... could be my ravenous envy of the close around me and to whom luck has taken it's residence, for this month at least. I am obstinate in the fact that next month will be my turn to host luck upon my shoulders, it is only fact that the Scorpio follows the Libra.

Good things shall indeed come to those whom wait... with patience.

To All These Dirty Little Boys That Think The Girls Were Made For Toys,

The undeserving, unappreciative and those abusive of emotion use genuine compassion as a weapon of destruction, to guard themselves from your own insecurities.
I am not merely an inflation to an ugly ego, one easily wounded yet so solely self-indulging. The ego alone so covetous yet simultaneously transitory.
Their feeling is fleeting, not driven by heart. It is certainly not sincere. Whereas it's opponent is worth valuing, it is rare as I am forever candid. Therefore, ironically I am a flawless rival.
They elevate themselves beyond reasoning- to the highest points of prestige, but they exhaust the one who could ever perceive the flutter of luminescence, slowly fading from their character.
I will not be open to their appraisal, nor toyed by their changing whims. Just as I will not become a notch on a bedpost, a diversion or means of satisfaction.
I will not keep running after a yesterday.

Their appetite is irrepressible, and their eye shan't stay fixed, this is the mark of a man who has truly never loved anything.
